Marybeth McCaffrey, soprano,
has been nurtured in her lifelong singing by many,
including her parents, grandmother and voice teachers,
Ellen Hargis and Drew Minter. She has taken workshops
led by Anne Azéma, Benjamin Bagby, Julianne Baird, and
Margriet Tindemans and participated in the 2002
Vancouver Baroque Vocal Programme and several Amherst
Early Music Programs. In 2003 she appeared in a period
production of Dido and Aeneus as Belinda, under
the direction of Rip Jackson. Marybeth founded Early
Music Vermont and celestial Sirens in 1999 where she
continues to combine her love for learning and passion
for singing. In 2001, the Sirens performed on A
Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor's,
"Talent from Towns Under 2000" contest. She works as a
health care policy analyst attorney for the state of
Vermont. She lives in Lincoln, Vermont with her husband
Mark Reese (an ultralight pilot) and their two cats. |
