Stephen Falbel
Stephen Falbel is a newcomer to Vermont and is very excited to be joining Counterpoint. Originally from Connecticut, he spent some 20 years in the Boston area, performing with such groups as the Handel & Haydn Society, the Boston Camerata, the Schola Cantorum of Boston, and the Choir of the Church of the Advent. With the Camerata, he performed on five recordings, including the national bestseller, Simple Gifts. His solo work includes the Monteverdi Vespers of 1610, Stradella's Esule dalla Sfere, Bach's B Minor Mass and Magnificat, Mozart's Requiem, and Distler's Choralpassion. In 2000, he performed music of Schütz at the Vermont Millennium Music Festival.

During the day, Stephen works as a transportation planning consultant, helping to improve public transit systems. He resides in Montpelier with his wife and two children.
